Monday, September 23, 2024 at 1:30 p.m., Commissioners met in regular session with Chairman Tim Bertling, Commissioner Wally Cossairt, Commissioner Ben Robertson, Deputy Clerk Stephanie Sims.
Meeting called to order at 1:30 p.m.
Commissioners considered the county’s alcohol beverage license application for the Little Singing Goat LLC dba Grocery Outlet of Bonners Ferry to sell bottled and canned beer and wine to be consumed off premises. Present were: Chairman Tim Bertling, Commissioner Wally Cossairt, Commissioner Ben Robertson, and Deputy Clerk Stephanie Sims. The proceedings were recorded.
The completed county application has been received as well as the applicable fee. Documentation for the 2024 State of Idaho Retail Alcohol Beverage License, the 2024 City of Bonners Ferry Business License and the 2024 Panhandle Health District Food Permit were also submitted.
Commissioner Cossairt moved to approve the 2024 County Alcohol Beverage License for the Little Singing Goat LLC dba Grocery Outlet of Bonners Ferry to sell bottled and canned beer and wine to be consumed off premises. Commissioner Robertson second. Motion passed unanimously.
The meeting to consider the county alcohol beverage license ended at 1:32 p.m.
1:40 p.m. Commissioner Cossairt moved to sign the minutes from August 5 and 6, 2024, Commissioner Robertson 2nd. Motion passed unanimously.
Commissioner Cossairt moved to sign the minutes from September 16 and 17, 2024, Commissioner Robertson 2nd. Motion passed unanimously.
Commissioner Cossairt motioned to sign Certificates of Residency for Alena Oyler, Commissioner Robertson 2nd. Motion passed unanimously.
1:54 Pam Barton joined the meeting.
Commissioner Robertson moved to go into executive session pursuant to Idaho Code 74-206(1)b, to consider the evaluation, dismissal or disciplining of, or to hear complaints or charges brought against, a public officer, employee, staff member or individual agent, or public-school student. Commissioner Cossairt second. Commissioners voted as follows: Chairman Bertling “aye”, Commissioner Cossairt “aye” and Commissioner Robertson “aye”. Motion passed unanimously. The executive session ended at 3:25 p.m. No action was taken.
Pam Barton left the meeting.
3:28 Gary Atkins joined the meeting. He discussed concerns about the guardrail along highway 95 at Kootenai Trail Rd. The new guardrail is too tall and blocks the view of traffic headed south. He is concerned it will cause an accident. He has contacted ITD with his concerns. Tim will send an email to ITD.
Gary Atkins left the meeting at 4:27 p.m.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 4:31 p.m
