Job Summary:

Provides support to residents with day-to-day needs of daily life. Performs personal and housekeeping tasks to the degree a resident cannot do for themselves. Needs to be willing to become MED CERTIFIED within 90 days of employment.
NOTE: There is a $ .30 per hour shift differential pay increase for hours worked from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

Experience:

JOB SUMMARY
Must be compassionate and dedicated to providing excellent resident care. Supporting our residents in maintaining their day-to-day abilities while encouraging independence and confidence. Maintains a current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Idaho. Performs nursing type duties within the guidelines of the Board of nursing Rules and IDAPA Rules for Assisted Living. The registered nurse is responsible for assuring that each resident is assessed according to the rules and regulations for assisted living facilities, delegation to UAP’s per the Board of Nursing. Registered Nurse will determine the health status of each resident and make recommendations to the Administrator as to their healthcare needs. Must be able to respond to changes in resident’s healthcare needs. Monitor each resident’s medications and assure that each resident’s medications are in accordance with the IDAPA rules and the Board of Nursing Rules. Must be reachable at all times. POSITION FUNCTIONS
1.             Promote and maintain Resident’s Rights.
2.       Conduct Pre admission assessments per state guidelines within 14 days of admission of a new resident.
3.            Develop an Interim Plan of Care at time of admission of a new resident as well as assist in developing
residents service plans within 14 days of admission, annually, and when there is a change of condition.
4.             Conduct a Nursing assessment every 90 days and/or when there is a change in condition.
5.             Communicate with the Administrator regarding any medication needs or other health care needs
requiring a follow up as well as follow up on previous recommendations.
6.             Assist in developing and monitoring behavior plans.
7.             Psychotropic medication reviews every 90 days for all residents on psychotropic medications.
8.             Ensure that the least restrictive interventions are in place and review for possible medication
reductions by their primary physician when appropriate every 6 months
9.             Review medications for possible side effects, interactions with other medications, abuse or other
adverse effects.
10.     Monitor resident’s that are capable of self- medicating monthly to assure the resident is still capable of
performing the task.
11.      Delegate according to the Board of Nursing Rules 23.01.01 to unlicensed assistive personnel,
medication coordinator and bath aid to perform tasks within their scope of practice which may include
dispensing medications if the unlicensed assistive personnel have a current certificate through the state of
Idaho which enables them to assist with medications. Delegation to Medication certified staff must be
approved by the Administrator prior to the delegation.
12.      Supervise and educate staff when changes in care or to guide in follow through of care plans.
13.      Routinely promote proper technique to staff and training for infection control.
14.      May perform other duties as assigned or as additional needs develop.

MINIMUM EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Extensive knowledge of the Board of Nursing Rules 23.01.01. At least 2 years of experience working with the elderly. Must demonstrate effective communication skills and work effectively with the elderly, their families, physicians, pharmacy, UAP’s and the Administrator. Must have knowledge of common medications and be able to identify possible adverse reactions and be prompt with an appropriate response. Experience with behavior management plans is recommended. Computer experience is essential.
TYPICALLY WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to work with minimal supervision, possess strong communication skills, and the ability to lead a group of people in completing tasks. Understand and apply the assisted living rules and regulations and/or is willing/capable to learn. Job Summary:
Performs professional law enforcement duties related to coordinating and directing functions of the Boundary County Sheriff's Office. As a law enforcement officer, the fundamental duty is to serve the community, to safeguard lives and property and to respect the Constitutional rights of all. Acts as field training officer for new deputies and reserve officers. Must be 21 years of age to carry firearms and attend the POST Academy.
Experience Required:
Must pass an extensive background investigation. Preference will be given for current Peace Officer certification or prior law enforcement experience. Must obtain basic Peace Officer certification from Idaho Peace Officer Standards and Training within one year of employment. This physical fitness requirements to obtain an Idaho.
POST Certification is the completion of a vertical jump, sit ups, pushups, a 300-meter run and a 1.5 mile run to a minimum standard. Required to participate in on-going training to maintain POST certification. Boundary County Emergency Management is the local government agency responsible for disaster preparedness and the coordination of resources in response to emergencies and disasters. The Director of Emergency Management works closely with the Board of County Commissioners, City of Bonners Ferry, City of Moyie Springs, Kootenai Tribe of Idaho, local first responders (firefighting, emergency medical, and law enforcement) organizations, Idaho Office of Emergency Management, and the Federal Emergency Management Agency. POSITION FUNCTIONS

private partners to ensure a cohesive response & recovery from natural & man-made emergencies & disasters.

Performs all duties of an Emergency Communications Officer (ECO): Answer 911 calls, text to 911, TTY, administrative calls, monitor multiple radio channels and relay accurate and pertinent information to the appropriate agency or agencies using both phone and radio. Provide information to law enforcement officers in the field regarding driver’s licenses, vehicle registration, warrants and other pertinent information. Monitor status of law enforcement, fire, EMS, and other responding units at all times. Enter and remove court documents into databases including warrants, protection orders, stolen articles, vehicles, guns, and missing persons. Monitor surveillance cameras for building security and safety of Detention Deputies. Operate jail doors. ECO’s may be required to assist in the jail with pat searches, clothing exchanges, and strip searches. JOB SUMMARY
Under general supervision of the Supervisor or Landfill Foreman, operates and maintains a variety of complex heavy equipment, machinery and tools used for maintenance, construction and repair of boxes and box sites. Performs all work and duties required to maintain a safe, productive department. FULL TIME WITH BENEFITS. Typical shift, Monday Through Friday 7:30-4:00.
POSITION FUNCTIONS
1. Operates and maintains a variety of equipment and tools used by the solid waste department in a safe
manner and following established procedures. Equipment includes but is not limited to bulldozers, graders,
front end loaders, packer truck, dump truck, semi-truck, pup trailer, compactor, sand blaster, snow removal
equipment, chainsaws and other hand and power tools necessary for maintenance, construction or repairs.
2. Performs safety inspections on all equipment used.
3. Performs scheduled and periodic maintenance and servicing of all equipment used and prepare
accurate job related forms and documents required.
4. Assists shop mechanics with repairs upon request. Performs minor repairs when possible.
5. Assists or fills in for other department employees in whatever capacity required.
6. Directs incoming traffic to appropriate dump sites, determines cubic yardage of solid waste disposed,
and examines cargo to prohibit disposal of caustic waste pursuant to government regulations.
7. Drives truck to distribute oil or water over landfill to control dust.
8. Prepares reports and documents as required by departmental policy.
9. Follows all local, state and federal safety and sanitation policies, rules and regulations.
10. Performs general labor as required.
