While publication on this site does not constitute official legal notice, they are posted here to allow the widest possible dissemination of information of importance to residents and property owners in Boundary County. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Boundary County Planning & Zoning Commission will hold public hearing at 5:30 PM Thursday, May 18th, 2017 in the main courtroom at the Boundary County Courthouse to continue hearing on Conditional Use Application 17-054 by Eric Pipitone.

Application 17-054 involves the placement of 5 cabins and 10 RV spots on 2 acres in the Commercial/Light Industrial zone near the Log Inn. This location, behind the Log Inn, is proposed to have two (2) driveways for ingress/egress and landscaped community areas. In addition the site is planned to be open 24/7 to accommodate tourists and travelers. This hearing relates to Ordinance 2017-1 and specifically to:

  • Section 10.6. Mobile Home Parks
  • Section 15.3. Light Use
    • Section 15.3.12. Bed and Breakfast or Vacation rentals
  • Section 15.14.5. Conditional Use (Comm/Lt Indust)
    • Section 15.14.5.2. Recreational commercial or Recreational hospitality

The applicant is preparing a response to Road and Bridge concerns relating to adequate easement/access for large vehicle ingress/egress for this location.


The Boundary County Planning & Zoning Commission will hold a workshop at 5:30 PM Thursday, May 18th, 2017 in the main courtroom at the Boundary County Courthouse to continue review of Amendment Application 17-052 by the Planning and Zoning Commission. This application is a request to amend Land Use Ordinance 2017-1 Sections 2, 3, 4, 11, and 20 (Definitions, Administration, Enforcement, Subdivisions, Parcel Divisions and Family Transfer, respectively). This hearing relates to Ordinance 2017-1 and specifically to:

  • Section 18.2.3. Amending this Ordinance
  • Section 18.2.3.2. Administration


The Planning & Zoning Commission meets on the 3rd Thursday of the month. In order to schedule a Public Hearing of the Planning & Zoning Commission, requests must be made prior to the fourth (4th) Thursday (4 weeks) in advance of the hearing date. (Generally, the request must be received one month in advance of the hearing date.)

The deadline for written comment and material is 12 noon one week prior to the scheduled hearing date. Written comment may be mailed to: Boundary County Planning & Zoning, PO Box 419, Bonners Ferry, ID 83805, faxed to (208) 267-7814 or emailed to planning@boundarycountyid.org. Written comment will be accepted at public hearing provided the material is read into the record. There may be a five (5) minute limit per person on verbal testimony.
