Commissioners’ meetings are held in their chambers, Room 28, in the Boundary County Courthouse, unless otherwise stated. Monday, March 16, 2026
9:00 a.m.: Olivia Drake – Discussion regarding roof maintenance, website updates, P&Z overflow, and GIS work.
9:30 a.m.: County Civil Attorney Bill Wilson – Update on various matters. Executive Session 74-206(f) to communicate with legal counsel for the public agency to discuss the legal ramifications of and legal options for pending litigation, or controversies not yet being litigated but imminently likely to be litigated. The mere presence of legal counsel at an executive session does not satisfy this requirement.
10:00 a.m.: Boundary County Ambulance Service District Governing Board meeting. ACTION ITEMS.
10:30 a.m.: Rich Tyler with Core Construction – Discussion to update cost estimates for a new jail facility and potential funding options.
11:00 a.m.: Kootenai Valley Reclamation Association – Discussion/Action Item regarding payments for pumps in the valley. ACTION ITEM.
11:30 a.m.: Motion to sign Certificates of Residency for Jennifer Fuller. Motion to sign Commissioner meeting minutes from the week of March 9th. Cancel/extend various taxes. Motion to sign agreement with Idaho Department of Parks & Recreation regarding the Boat Safety Program. Motion to appoint members to Snowmobile Board to fill vacancies. Motion to appoint member to Hospital Board to fill vacancy. Motion to sign letter regarding Forest Legacy Project: Boundary Connections III (BC III). Motion to sign Findings & Decision letter for File #26-0035, The Carey Family Legacy Revocable Trust Short Plat, Rural Subdivision, Guardian Estates. Motion to sign letter regarding Northern Air Inc transfer to Northern Air Aviation LLC. Motion to sign RFF#2 for 25JC-Boundary. ACTION ITEMS.
1:30 p.m.: Road and Bridge Department report. Solid Waste Department Report. Discussion/Motion on Landfill Loader Quotes. Discussion/Motion on Landfill Electrical Quotes. Executive Session 74-206(b) to consider the evaluation, dismissal, or disciplining of, or to hear complaints or charges brought against, a public officer, employee, staff member or individual agent, or public-school student. ACTION ITEMS.
2:15 p.m.: Human Resources Report. Executive Session 74-206(a) to consider hiring a public officer, employee, staff member or individual agent, wherein the respective qualities of individuals are to be evaluated in order to fill a particular vacancy or need. This paragraph does not apply to filling a vacancy in an elective office or deliberations about staffing needs in general. Executive Session 74-206(b) to consider the evaluation, dismissal, or disciplining of, or to hear complaints or charges brought against, a public officer, employee, staff member or individual agent, or public-school student. ACTION ITEM.
2:45 p.m.: Kootenai Valley Resource Initiative (KVRI) Facilitator Theresa Wheat and Bonners Ferry District Forest Ranger (USFS) Heather Fuller – Update on KVRI and Forest Service projects.

10:00 a.m.: Kootenai Tribe of Idaho – Discussions regarding Tribal Fuel Tax Fund, Sturgeon Loop/Great Northern, and other subjects of common interest.
