Commissioners' Meeting Minutes - Week of January 13, 2025

***Monday, January 13, 2025 Commissioners met in regular session with Chairman Tim Bertling, Commissioner Wally Cossairt, Commissioner Ben Robertson, Clerk Glenda Poston and Deputy Clerk Stephanie Sims.

Commissioners said the Pledge of Allegiance.

At 9:00 a.m. the new and re-elected officials were sworn into office and a small reception took place at the courthouse. Commissioner Cossairt’s term ended and he left the meeting.

Greg Lamberty entered the meeting at 9:05 a.m.

Commissioners reviewed the packets received from the RFQ for the Safeway building and tabled this item so that they could have more time to review and contact references.

9:00 a.m., Commissioners held proceedings to consider renewing Boundary County Alcoholic Beverage License for year 2025. Present were: Chairman Tim Bertling, Commissioner Wally Cossairt, Commissioner Ben Robertson, Clerk Glenda Poston and Deputy Clerk Stephanie Sims. The proceedings were recorded.

Boundary County Commissioners Seek Applicants to Serve on the Agriculture Protection Area Commission

On December 16, 2024 the Boundary County Board of County Commissioners passed resolution 2025-4, establishing the Agriculture Protection Area (APA), in compliance with Idaho Code § 67-9705. The APA creates an opportunity and procedures to establish agricultural protection areas to allow landowners to voluntarily designate their agriculture lands for protection and preservation, and provide a process to expand, terminate, or remove lands from a protection area. The board now seeks individuals interested serving on the APA Commission.
