Job Summary:
Provides support to residents with day-to-day needs of daily life. Performs personal and housekeeping tasks to the degree a resident cannot do for themselves. As a member of a team, encourage independence, support resident choice and preserve resident dignity in an ethical and professional manner. Needs to be willing to become MED CERTIFIED within 90 days of employment.
NOTE: There is a $ .30 per hour shift differential pay increase for hours worked from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

Experience:

JOB SUMMARY
Must be compassionate and dedicated to providing excellent resident care. Supporting our residents in maintaining their day-to-day abilities while encouraging independence and confidence. Maintains a current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Idaho. Performs nursing type duties within the guidelines of the Board of nursing Rules and IDAPA Rules for Assisted Living. The registered nurse is responsible for assuring that each resident is assessed according to the rules and regulations for assisted living facilities, delegation to UAP’s per the Board of Nursing. Registered Nurse will determine the health status of each resident and make recommendations to the Administrator as to their healthcare needs. Must be able to respond to changes in resident’s healthcare needs. Monitor each resident’s medications and assure that each resident’s medications are in accordance with the IDAPA rules and the Board of Nursing Rules. Must be reachable at all times. POSITION FUNCTIONS
1. Promote and maintain Resident’s Rights.
2. Conduct Pre admission assessments per state guidelines within 14 days of admission of a new resident.
3. Develop an Interim Plan of Care at time of admission of a new resident as well as assist in developing
residents service plans within 14 days of admission, annually, and when there is a change of condition.
4. Conduct a Nursing assessment every 90 days and/or when there is a change in condition.
5. Communicate with the Administrator regarding any medication needs or other health care needs
requiring a follow up as well as follow up on previous recommendations.
6. Assist in developing and monitoring behavior plans.
7. Psychotropic medication reviews every 90 days for all residents on psychotropic medications.
8. Ensure that the least restrictive interventions are in place and review for possible medication
reductions by their primary physician when appropriate every 6 months
9. Review medications for possible side effects, interactions with other medications, abuse or other
adverse effects.
10. Monitor resident’s that are capable of self- medicating monthly to assure the resident is still capable of
performing the task.
11. Delegate according to the Board of Nursing Rules 23.01.01 to unlicensed assistive personnel,
medication coordinator and bath aid to perform tasks within their scope of practice which may include
dispensing medications if the unlicensed assistive personnel have a current certificate through the state of
Idaho which enables them to assist with medications. Delegation to Medication certified staff must be
approved by the Administrator prior to the delegation.
12. Supervise and educate staff when changes in care or to guide in follow through of care plans.
13. Routinely promote proper technique to staff and training for infection control.
14. May perform other duties as assigned or as additional needs develop.
MINIMUM EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Extensive knowledge of the Board of Nursing Rules 23.01.01. At least 2 years of experience working with the elderly. Must demonstrate effective communication skills and work effectively with the elderly, their families, physicians, pharmacy, UAP’s and the Administrator. Must have knowledge of common medications and be able to identify possible adverse reactions and be prompt with an appropriate response. Experience with behavior management plans is recommended. Computer experience is essential.
TYPICALLY WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to work with minimal supervision, possess strong communication skills, and the ability to lead a group of people in completing tasks. Understand and apply the assisted living rules and regulations and/or is willing/capable to learn. JOB SUMMARY

POSITION FUNCTIONS
1. Operates and maintains a variety of types of heavy equipment used in the maintenance, repair and
construction of the County Road and Bridge System, including class A trucks, graders, bulldozers, front end
loaders, backhoes, dump trucks, crusher equipment, asphalt application equipment, finish grading, snow
removal equipment, anti-icing equipping, oil distributor truck and sanding equipment.
2. Assists in the maintenance, repair and construction of county roads and bridges, including culvert
installation, bridge demolition and construction, chip-sealing, dura patching, paving and marking. Installs
and maintains signs, provides traffic control as necessary. Manual labor including but not limited to
chainsaws and tools related to roadside brushing, compactors, and various hand tools.
3. Operates portable jaw and cone-type crushing units, salt brine systems, and other equipment
necessary for the production of sand, gravel and asphalt products. Assists in the disassembly, relocation
and reassembly of portable plants.
4. Performs routine maintenance on all equipment as assigned, to include checking oil, lubricating, checking
fluid levels, cleaning and other maintenance. May be called upon to perform major repairs, which may
involve welding, fabrication and use of mechanical tools and equipment.
5. Follows all departmental, DOT, OSHA and MSHA safety rules and regulations.
6. Reports unusual situations or problems to supervisor or Road Foreman.

High school diploma or equivalent and minimum of two years in a related field. Background in heavy equipment operation. Must maintain a valid Idaho Commercial Drivers License Class A. Must be able to pass exams and acquire CDL endorsements "tanker" within six months of hire date. Must maintain a valid ATSSA (American Traffic Safety Services Association) registered flaggers card at all times (requires training and re-certification every 3 years), and must complete Idaho T2 Traffic control Technician course within first 3 years of employment. Must complete MSHA (Mine Safety and Health Administration) "New Employee abd Hazard Awareness Training for Miners" within six months of hire date. All employees are required to complete "Annual Refresher Training for Miners" on a yearly basis.

Performs all duties of an Emergency Communications Officer (ECO): Answer 911 calls, text to 911, TTY, administrative calls, monitor multiple radio channels and relay accurate and pertinent information to the appropriate agency or agencies using both phone and radio. Provide information to law enforcement officers in the field regarding driver’s licenses, vehicle registration, warrants and other pertinent information. Monitor status of law enforcement, fire, EMS, and other responding units at all times. Monitor surveillance cameras for building security and safety of Detention Deputies. Operate jail doors. JOB SUMMARY
Supervises and coordinates the county wide noxious weed control program, under the direction of the Boundary County Commissioners and the Boundary County Weed Control Advisory Board. Prepares and manages budget. Purchases equipment and materials and maintains department property. Administers and monitors cost-share programs to enhance county weed control and education. Handles potentially hazardous and toxic chemicals throughout the spray season.
POSITION FUNCTIONS. Coordinate and administer the Neighborhood Cooperative Weed Control Program taking applications and
inspecting their properties to ensure they qualify for the program as a tool for noxious weed compliance assistance.
2. Prepares annual budget for funding department, including materials, office supplies, chemicals, adjuvants &
equipment to run an efficient and effective program. Record and report all spray applications on a daily basis per
IDAPA Pesticide Use Code requirements.
3. Responsible for all herbicide spraying of county property including 740 lane miles of road, boat launches, landfill
& 3 dumpster sites, 3 gravel pits, Road & Bridge shop yard, Airport runways, Courthouse lawn, Fairgrounds & all ball fields.
4. Reports monthly to Commissioners to inform them on all aspects of weed control in the county, including cost
share programs.
5. Attend monthly meetings with ?Boundary County Soil Conservation District.
6. Works closely with county Weed Advisory Board and coordinates 3-4 meetings annually addressing Neighborhood
Cooperative Program applications and other state cost-share programs. Applies for, coordinates, administers and
monitors (with pictures) closely all state cost-share programs and other grant opportunities to enhance County weed
control program. With the Weed advisory Board, determines feasibility and cost effectiveness of these programs,
presents analysis and recommendations to County Commissioners.
7. Annually inventory all equipment, office supplies, shop tools, chemicals and adjuvants, and include status &
condition of all relevant materials. Maintains and repairs all equipment and small engines.
8. Must maintain Idaho Professional Pesticide License and remain accredited through continuing education.

applicator licenses.
11. Works closely with ID Dept of Agriculture (ISDA), IDEQ's pollutant Discharge Elimination System for Clean Water Act
regulations, and the Selkirk CWMA, & Idaho Assoc. of Weed Control Superintendents. Attend meetings and file quarterly

12. Establish noxious weed control priorities & advise property owners of problem infestations on private land

Provides no spray agreement and informs individuals of responsibility to control no-spray area.
13. Must handle all weed related complaints & attempt to resolve as required by the biocontrol service provider
as diplomatically as possible always under the advice of county Commissioners and within local , state and federal
guidelines.
14. Map noxious weed infestations & project sites using a GPS or mobile mapping system as needed. Coordinates with
county GIS Dept.
15. Supervises a seasonal employee. Trained to assist in mosquito abatement program.

MINIMUM EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
High school diploma or equivalent, valid Idaho driver's license, have or obtain a Professional Herbicide Applicator's License within three (3) months of hire. Have or acquire a knowledge of noxious weeds as listed by the Idaho Department of Agriculture, including identification, life cycles and effective control measures. Knowledge of herbicide and pesticide usage, application, laws and safety, methods of application and calibration . Ability to maintain and repair spray rigs and small gas engines is required. Strong organizational skills are a necessity and excellent written and verbal skills required. Efficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to present information both orally and in writing, in both formal and informal settings.

"Must be self-motivated, physically fit and able to lift up to 80 pounds maneuvering equipment and herbicide containers. Working conditions depending on season may vary from inside work to outside work in various weather. STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE
Precisely measure and calculate the correct label rates for each herbicide for the weed controlled to avoid chemical toxicity, emergency situations, environmental contamination and county liability. Calibrate all spray equipment to determine exactly the gallons of water per acre it is producing to ensure proper applications. Work with potentially toxic chemicals. JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the care, custody and control of inmates housed in the Boundary County Jail. Supervise inmates both within the facility and on work details outside the facility as required. Conduct security checks of inmates and facility as required by the Boundary County Jail Policy Manual. Dispense medications as directed by the jail physician. Maintain control of inmate property. In process (booking) and release of subjects housed in the jail. Must be able to maintain paperwork generated by this process and through the court system. This is a full-time position.
POSITION FUNCTIONS
1. Maintains security and control of inmates, observing all persons housed inside the jail facility at least
every 30 minutes.
2. Perform all intake and release functions, e.g. ascertain and document inmate's identity, vital statistics,
reason detained, physical and mental condition.
3. Search, fingerprint and photograph all inmates upon incarceration.
4. Inventory and store inmate personal property.
5. Make arrangements for medical care if necessary. Administer medical care as needed.
6. Classify inmates to determine housing location.
7. Provide communication to inmate's attorney, family and bail bondsman.
8. Issue blankets, jail clothing and hygiene items to inmates being housed.
9. Determine conditions that allow for release.
10. Implement work/school release and work search programs.
12. Arrange for in-house inmate programs such as religious service, AA & ALANON service, counseling, etc.
13. Deliver emergency messages to inmates regarding death in family, serious injury or illness of family
member, property loss, etc. Follow up with necessary assistance.
14. Perform Intoxylizer tests and urine drug screening.
15. Take fingerprints of non-inmates such as elimination prints, concealed weapons, child identification,
child care, care of the elderly, immigration and naturalization, postal workers, etc.
16. Provide security supervision for service providers and delivery persons inside the security area, e.g.
electricians, plumbers, etc.
17. Produce and maintain documentation pertaining to jail related activities, events, conditions and needs;
e.g.; daily jail logs, mail logs, incident reports, booking forms, property inventories, medical screening,
classification forms, etc.
18. Maintain peace and order in the jail; e.g.; positively manipulating inmate behavior with communication
skills and a professional demeanor.
19. Physically reorganize the population within the jail to manage conflicts or special-needs inmates,
and eliminate unnecessary causes of stress, such as weapons, intoxicants or unsafe living conditions.
20. Search inmate cells and cell areas when appropriate.
21. Isolate inmates exhibiting overly aggressive behavior from other inmates.
22. Physically restrain inmates when appropriate, requesting assistance from other officers when needed.
23. Document actions taken during an incident and act as disciplinary board member when needed.
24. Maintain the physical plant and equipment. Install new equipment inside and outside the security area,
and repair and clean equipment as needed.
25. Maintain account of inmate funds.
26. Distribute medications to inmates as prescribed by physician.
27. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Jail Commander, including but not limited to bailiff duty,
mental watch, juvenile watch, etc.
MINIMUM EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
High school diploma or equivalent. Able to complete P.O.S.T. Academy within one year from date of employment. Must be a U. S. Citizen in order to attend P.O.S.T. Academy. A working knowledge of computers. Able to qualify with firearms. Must be able to pass a physical fitness standards test. Must be 18 or over to apply.

Job Summary:
Performs professional law enforcement duties related to coordinating and directing functions of the Boundary County Sheriff's Office. As a law enforcement officer, the fundamental duty is to serve the community, to safeguard lives and property and to respect the Constitutional rights of all. Acts as field training officer for new deputies and reserve officers. Must be 21 years of age to carry firearms and attend the POST Academy.
Job Duties:
1. Patrols roadways to observe traffic violations and ordinances, check suspicious vehicles and circumstances, determine violations and make arrests.
2. Serves civil papers and warrants.
3. Responds to citizen complaints such as break-in, robbery, domestic disputes, assault, vandalism, animal control, etc.
4. Serves as a witness and appears as complainant in criminal actions in court and takes disputed property into possession for court.
5. Operates vehicle under emergency and non-emergency conditions.
6. Detect and apprehend Driving Under the Influence subjects.
7. Conduct vehicle, building and personal searches. Engages in high risk tactics, including vehicle and foot pursuit; utilizes weaponless force or defensive weapons as required.
8. Displays firearms, discharge firearms, use restraining devices and transport high-risk subjects.
9. Determine if children are in imminent danger and take appropriate action, process juveniles in custody, conduct welfare and security checks.
10. Perform drug interdictions, conduct bar checks and operate firefighting equipment.
11. Responds to crimes in progress, provides emergency first aid and physically and safely moves disabled persons away from potentially dangerous situations.
12. Identify and establish search and rescue operations, initiate incident command posts, implement disaster plans, establish perimeters and coordinate with other agencies.
13. Implement crowd control.
14. Establish probable cause and prepare affidavit for warrants.
15. Locate persons named in criminal warrants.
16. Assist stranded motorists, pick up run-away juveniles.
17. Performs contractual duties with the Kootenai Tribe, the U.S. Forest Service and other contractors as required.
18. Follows and obeys laws, standards and regulations as established by the Boundary County Sheriffs Office Policy and Procedures Manual, Boundary County ordinances, Idaho Criminal Code, Idaho Traffic Code, Idaho Civil Code, Rules of Evidence, Search and Seizure laws, the Boundary County Personnel Policy, the Boundary County Jail Manual and Inmate Handbook and other local, state and federal rules and regulations.

Minimum Education/Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent. AA Degree in Police Science or Basic Training Certificate from Police Academy Preferred. Must pass an extensive background investigation. Preference will be given for current Peace Officer certification or prior law enforcement experience. POST Certification is the completion of a vertical jump, sit ups, pushups, a 300-meter run and a 1.5 mile run to a minimum standard.
