Commissioners' Meeting Minutes - Week of August 11, 2025

***Monday, August 11, 2025 at 9:00 a.m., Commissioners met in regular session with Chairman Ben Robertson, Commissioner Tim Bertling, Commissioner Lester Pinkerton, Clerk Glenda Poston, and Deputy Clerk Stephanie Sims.

Commissioners said the Pledge of Allegiance.

P&Z Administrator Ben Jones entered the meeting at 8:59 a.m. Mr. Jones stated that 11 new permits have been submitted the last couple of weeks. He has also spent time preparing for the public hearings of both Commissioners and the P&Z Commission. There have been two public records requests.

***Monday, August 4, 2025 at 9:00 a.m., Commissioners met in regular session with Commissioner Tim Bertling, Commissioner Lester Pinkerton, and Deputy Clerk Stephanie Sims. Chairman Ben Robertson was absent for the morning session.

Commissioners said the Pledge of Allegiance.

Greg Lamberty entered the meeting at 8:57 a.m.

Maintenance Supervisor Squire Fields entered the meeting at 8:58 a.m.

Commissioner Pinkerton moved to appoint Commissioner Bertling as acting chairman. Commissioner Bertling second. Motion passed unanimously.

Boundary County Commissioners Participate in Historic Meeting with U.S. Forest Service Leadership in Coeur d’Alene

The Boundary County Board of Commissioners announced today that they participated in a historic and unprecedented meeting on Thursday, August 21, hosted by the U.S. Forest Service in Coeur d’Alene. This event marked a rare gathering of the agency’s top leadership to discuss the forest management needs and priorities of Boundary County.

The Boundary County Board of Commissioners will meet in special session on Thursday, August 21, 2025, beginning at 10:30 a.m. in Coeur d’Alene Idaho at the Interagency Natural Resource Center, with USFS personnel from multiple agencies to discuss USFS land in Boundary County and treatment issues/hurdles.
