All position vacancies occurring within Boundary County are posted in-house for three working days before being opened to the general public through the Bonners Ferry Job Service. Current county employees may pick up applications during the in-house posting period at the Personnel Office. Once the position vacancy notice has been posted with the Job Service, applications should be picked up there. Department: Assessor
Starting Wage: $10.26
Typical Work Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Job Summary
Performs a variety of routine to complex clerical duties to expedite the processing of various applications, documents and records. Responsible for homeowner and sales verification programs with little supervision.
This is a full time position with benefits.

Experience Required
High school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of office equipment and procedures, including filing systems. Extensive knowledge of Assessor’s program and Idaho Code and a minimum of one year experience in a related field preferred but no required.

Department: Assessor
Starting Wage: $12.03 to $14.93 depending on experience.
Typical Work Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Job Summary
Performs difficult appraisal and deed work of real or personal property.
This is a full time position with benefits.

Experience Required
High school diploma or equivalent plus successful completion of STC Appraisal I course within one (1) year of hire. Must have a valid Idaho State drivers license. Must be skilled in general mathematics and geometry and be able to perform complex algebraic calculations. Good computer skills essential. Must be highly effective in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with the public and fellow employees, and have good verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to efficiently operate film and digital cameras. Good knowledge of construction material, quality and cost. Good knowledge of agricultural methods and practices. Good understanding of Idaho property tax laws.

Minimum Education
High school diploma or equivalent & completion of STC Appraisal Course within 1 year of hire.
