PRESS RELEASE REGARDING PUBLIC MEETING WITH BOUNDARY COMMUNITY HOSPITAL
The Boundary County Board of Commissioners has decided to cancel the public meeting that had been scheduled for Tuesday evening (March 10) regarding the proposed Boundary Community Hospital levy request.
In preparation for the meeting, the Commissioners have been reviewing materials submitted by the Hospital Board of Trustees and gathering additional information related to the proposal. During that process, a number of questions have come to light regarding the scope, costs, and implementation details of the projects described in the levy request.
At this time, several of those questions remain unanswered. The Commissioners believe it is important that complete and accurate information be available before holding a public discussion on a matter that may involve potential taxpayer funding.
The Board of Commissioners intends to reschedule the public meeting once the necessary information has been provided and can be made available for public review.
The Commissioners remain committed to ensuring that the community has the opportunity to review and understand the details of any proposal before it is discussed in a public forum.
Additional information regarding a future meeting date will be announced once the requested materials have been received and reviewed.
No action will be taken on the proposal presented by the Hospital Board of Trustees.
