Job Summary:

TEMPORARY FILL IN POSITION. Visually examine incoming waste and direct public to appropriate dump area. Keep work area clean and free of debris allowing public access to all facilities offered. WORK HOURS: Part-time - fill in as needed. This position may work at various transfer sites as needed. Hours and locations may vary.

Position Functions:

1.  Monitors and directs incoming vehicles to designated dumping areas.
2.  Examines cargo to prohibit disposal of caustic waste, according to government regulations.
Inspects to maintain that the waste being brought in is not hazardous to people or equipment.
3.  Monitor & visually inspect incoming vehicles to insure only appropriate materials are being disposed
of at site.
4.  Maintain cleanliness of dump site area - i.e. Clean garbage around bins, clean snow around recycle bins
 and maintain general cleanliness of area within public view.
5.  Perform waste stream studies - i.e. monitor license plates and/or numbers.
6.  Performs general labor and duties as assigned.

Minimum Education / Qualifications Required:

High school diploma or equivalent; minimum of one year of work related experience preferred.
