Prosecutor
The Boundary County Prosecuting Attorney is an elected official. The Prosecutor has jurisdiction over a variety of matters before the District Court and the Magistrate Division of the District Court in which the State of Idaho or Boundary County are a party. The Prosecuting Attorney also serves as legal advisor for all County offices, and as legal advisor and prosecutor for all law enforcement agencies in Boundary County.
The role of the prosecutor is one we try to exercise with fairness, humility and an eye toward the best interests of the County and its citizens as a whole. The Boundary County Prosecutor’s Office strives to serve the needs of the people of Boundary County, support victims and their families and hold people accountable when they commit unlawful acts. It is our goal to serve the public’s interests in a community-oriented way that protects the citizenry while discouraging future crime.
The Boundary County Prosecutor’s Office does not have its own investigators. Rather, we rely on our law enforcement agencies to take complaints/reports and conduct the investigations. If you would like to file a complaint or make a report of possible criminal conduct, please contact the Boundary County Dispatch Center at 208-267-3151.
