***Monday, October 12 2026

The courthouse was closed due to the Columbus Day Holiday; therefore, the Commissioners did not meet.

 Tuesday, October 13, 2026 at 9:30 a.m., Commissioners met in regular session with Commissioner Tim Bertling, Commissioner Lester Pinkerton, and Deputy Clerk Stephanie Sims. Chairman Ben Robertson and Clerk Glenda Poston were absent.

 Commissioners said the Pledge of Allegiance.

Commissioner Pinkerton moved to appoint Commissioner Bertling as acting chair. Commissioner Bertling second. Motion passed unanimously.

The appointment with Bill Wilson was cancelled due to illness.

Commissioner Pinkerton moved to sign Commissioner meeting minutes from week of October 5th. Commissioner Bertling stepped down as acting chair to second. Motion passed unanimously.

Commissioner Pinkerton moved to sign Cooperative Agreement for University of Idaho Extension Programs for FY26-27. Commissioner Bertling stepped down as acting chair to second. Motion passed unanimously.

Commissioners reviewed claims for payment. Fund totals are as follows:

The 10:00 appointment with the Restorium was cancelled due to short staff.

The 1:30 p.m. appointment with Road & Bridge/Solid Waste was cancelled due to illness.

Commissioners cancelled the 2:15 appointment with Human Resources and adjourned the meeting at 11:02 a.m.

9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.: County Civil Attorney Bill Wilson – Update on various matters. Motion to sign Commissioner meeting minutes from week of October 5th. Cancel/extend various taxes.  Claims approval. Motion to sign Cooperative Agreement for University of Idaho Extension Programs for FY26-27. ACTION ITEMS.

10:00 a.m.: Restorium update.

1:30 p.m.: Road and Bridge Department report. Solid Waste Department Report.

2:15 p.m.: Human Resources Report. Executive Session 74-206(a) to consider hiring a public officer, employee, staff member or individual agent, wherein the respective qualities of individuals are to be evaluated in order to fill a particular vacancy or need. This paragraph does not apply to filling a vacancy in an elective office or deliberations about staffing needs in general. Executive Session 74-206(b) to consider the evaluation, dismissal, or disciplining of, or to hear complaints or charges brought against, a public officer, employee, staff member or individual agent, or public-school student. ACTION ITEM.
