Meeting Minutes
Boundary County Airport Board Meeting January 16, 2026.
Present: Rick Durden, Mark Weber, Don Jordan, Jay Wages, Pat Gardner, Bob Blanford, and Matthew Nichols.
Airport Manager: Dave Parker
The meeting was called to order at 5:40 PM by Jay Wages.
Old Business
At the last Board meeting Dave Parker advised the Board that he was talking with a person who is interested in buying the Northern Air FBO as well as becoming the airport manager, Matthew Nichols. This meeting was called to allow the Board to meet Matt and discuss his approach to operating the airport and keeping it viable.
Over the course of an hour the Board members and Matt Nichols had a wide-ranging discussion of airport operations, Federal Grant Assurances, hangar usage, ground equipment operation and maintenance and upcoming construction on the airport.
Rick Durden then moved that the Airport Advisory Board recommend to the County Commission to transfer the airport manager position and FBO agreement currently existing between the County and Northern Air, Inc. to Matthew Nichols contingent on a successful sale of FBO to Matthew Nichols.
The motion was seconded by Pat Gardner. The vote was unanimous in favor of the motion.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:45 pm.
